We decided to go to our friends today for a play date. Riley and Lukah always have fun going to C, C, and S’s house. Other than that we really didn’t do a lot today. Boring and easy day overall. My food intake wasn’t awful but wasn’t great either. Lukah is being especially needy this evening and trying to suck my soul of out my body and make me lose the will to live, but it’s ok. I hear babies try to do that occasionally. :P I suppose I should also add that he is teething and is in quite a cranky mood lately.
- 2 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs whites, 2 pieces of toast with apricot jam (that I made last night, YUMMY!), and a small glass of OJ.
- 6 inch sub. It was a subway club. I had lettuce, tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, olives, pickles, and hot peppers. A squirt of mustard.
- About 15 salted potato chips
- 2 glasses of green tea ice tea.
- The other half of the sub, a piece of pie (key lime).
I might have another piece of toast with jam on it but I’m not sure yet. Haven’t really decided. I’m feeling kind of blah and maybe will just go to bed, not too sure yet.
I want to go see Julie & Julia but I can’t seem to find anyone that has the time to go with me (and is willing to go with me and Lukah) so I might have to go by myself (I swore I would never go to the movies alone and be one of those women that has no friends or significant other to go with, now I realize that maybe they were there alone by choice, Huh!). I don’t know if I’ll get to see it. I also want to see the Time Traveler's Wife, I really liked the book and hope the movie is just as good. The problem with having two little boys that need you around is that you rarely get to do anything for yourself or at least I seem to have the problem.
Things I’d like to do this week:
- Make more apricot jam (I have about another 15 apricots to use up)
- Make baby food for Lukah. I’m going to make pear and peach I believe. I also have some peas and some chard I was going to make into baby food.
- Start using my exercise ball again and get some muscle tone in my mid area.
- Make dinner every night this week.
- Get my Mother-In-Law’s birthday present bought (we are late, but she was out of town which makes it a little easier to not feel bad)
- Set up a play date for Riley for this coming weekend hopefully. He really enjoys getting to see other kids lately.
- Do the daring bakers challenge this weekend. I love this group but I’m really finding it hard to squeeze in the challenges lately.
- Get Lukah’s room painted. Yes I know he’s almost 6 months and his room is not done. He’s been sleeping in our room, it hasn’t been a priority till now. :P We are painting his room Cinnamon Cake with an accent wall of Laurel Mist. I think it’ll be really nice when it’s done. We even went out and got Natura paint from Benjamin Moore.
I just looked over and my husband who obviously is not a baby and he is eating a teething biscuit. He looks at me and says “What? They are ginger! They are good!” Oh vey.
Have a good week everybody!
