This week you might have noticed a recurring breakfast (plus my latest obsession with Joy the Baker). Yup, smoothies! It’s getting warmer and plus I need to detox off the Nutella. Don’t get me wrong, I love Nutella. More than I should. Unfortunately Nutella makes things on me wobble that shouldn’t. It’s really quite upsetting to me. I’ve never had a healthy body image. I wasn’t raised to look in the mirror and think to myself “damn, I look good!”. Quite the opposite actually. So this week is the beginning of the lose weight over the summer and be happy with the way I look week. Most of the time I feel ok and then every once and awhile something snaps in me and I can’t stand myself. Two babies have not done me any good (or should I say, the way I ate when preggo with those two sweet babes). I was skinny and happy with the way I looked... oh to be 23 again and actually realize that I looked fantastic! I know I’ll never get back there and I’m ok with that but I don’t want to be the size I am either. I would be quite happy with a few inches off my waist and by few I mean 3. That would make me really happy I think. I just feel like I’m losing the definition between my hips and my buddha belly. So, onward! This is the beginning of hopefully a great journey to being happier with myself and the way I look. I’m not sure if it’s a number I’m looking for or if it’s the way I look in the mirror. I’m hoping I will know when I get there. Anyways, enough of my ramblings. Have a good week everybody and I’ll hopefully keep you updated on how my battle to feel better about myself goes.
P.S. If you are looking for a some great ideas of what to make for dinner on a hot night, try these!
