iMac?

iMac I’ve been looking into getting a new computer.  Ours is about 3 years old now (just over three if my memory is correct).  I’m trying to decide between getting another PC or a Mac.  Decisions, decisions.  I’ve heard so many good things about Mac’s lately and with my new found love the iPhone I’m having a hard time deciding.  My other decision is between desktop and laptop.  I am leaning towards a lap top this time but I want a really big screen.  Suggestions?  Ideas?  Let me know what you think I should get.

My muchies so far today

  • French Toast w/ Ham, Hash browns, and Eggs.  I split with Tim and took one of his eggs Benedict.  It was ok but I think there are definitely better out there!  I was also told there would be fruit…  there was no fruit.  Sucked.
  • Decaf coffee with two milk, two sugars.  See!  No cream… I’m getting better but I really like cream, it makes it so nice and rich.
  • Lemonade split with Tim at the Farmer’s Market.
  • Ice Cap from Tim Horton’s, I know I should stay far far away from these but I love them!  I would rather have these than slurpee’s any day.
  • 1 small piece of chocolate pie (about 1/16).  DSCF0026
  • 1 turkey sausage (not bad, not greasy like some sausages can be) with bun and mustard, sugar snap peas, vitamin water.
  • 1/6 of key lime pie.
  • 1 can of coke.  I don’t really like Coke anymore…  I prefer diet. Is that wrong?
  • 1 Cadbury Fruit & Nut Dairy Milk Bar, this was GROSS!  I know I should have stopped after one bite because it didn’t get any better.  They changed the wrapper as well as the taste and now it’s sickly sweet.

Definitely not the best day when it comes to eating.  I’m hoping tomorrow will be much better.  We’ll see.  We are going to friends in the afternoon to let Riley play with his friend Carmen.  Should be fun!

Makin’ Apricot Jam

Cut up apricots Boiling Stuff to skim off Jam ready for canning!

I didn’t follow the instructions on the pectin package as I thought blending up the apricots would be a bit much. I chose to cut them into chunks and then mash them a bit once they started to boil.  Then you let it come to a hard boil for 1 minute.  After that you skim off the foam so you get a nice clear jam.  Tim and I couldn’t wait and had a taste out of the jar that wasn’t full since it was just going into the fridge as opposed to being preserved.  The other jars got to go in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes (the jars had been washed and sterilized in the dishwasher before we used them, don’t forget to do that if your making jam!), then you just wait for the lids to pop in and then you can store them for up to a year!

DSCF0049 Delicious jam on toast!

Look at all the fruit I got at the Farmer’s Market this morning!!!  I was impressed and I got it all for 25 bucks!  Fruit is always better from the Farmer’s Market!
